My Story
In 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer as part of my treatment I had 6 sessions of chemotherapy. Prior to this starting I can still remember so vividly sitting in the consultants room discussing the potential side effects of chemo and feeling so overwhelmed. Signing the consent form just feels like there actually isn’t a choice you want rid of the cancer and this is what the specialists are advising you to do. That alone feels a lonely and isolating place to be thinking I’d just be bald, sick, tired and miserable (no matter how positive you are there are moments that hit you)!
During my treatment I received lots of little thoughtful ‘pick me ups’ from close friends and family however what littlelifts are doing is way more than that. To provide women with a comfort box during the consultant meeting about chemotherapy cannot be under estimated, to know someone out there somewhere understands what you are facing can mean more than any words. That is why in my 5th year of being cancer free I am supporting littlelifts and challenging myself by jumping out of a plane in this skydive.
Please support me by donating whatever you can so litttlelifts can continue to grow and thrive and provide women a moment a light when times can seem so dark!
Thank you xx
